Join us for a tour to another world of crafting! Hop on the bus Wednesday morning for a visit to the Wimberley Glassworks and be treated to a blown glass demonstration and shopping opportunity in their show room!

Then we’ll go down the road to The Silo Glass Gallery and Studio. The Silo Gallery features more than 2 dozen Texas artists specializing in 3D art forms. Set next to a beautiful grotto with two relaxing waterfalls, Silo Studio is the largest purpose built, warm glass studio in Central Texas.

And no trip to San Marcos would be complete without a ride on a glass bottom boat! We’ll finish our tour with lunch at The Meadows Center for Water and the Environment (formerly Aquarena Springs) and a ride on a glass bottom boat. Unforgettable attractions to experience at this beautiful nature park include a phenomenal underwater perspective of Spring Lake (headwaters of the San Marcos River), hundreds of bubbling springs, archeological site, historical landmarks, and more. Close-up view of fish, turtles, prawns and species found ONLY in Spring Lake or the San Marcos River, such as the endangered Texas Blind Salamander.
