Teal Passion is designed to teach and/or improve surface embroidery skills. It is a challenge though each area is just enough. Skills include: Long and short, including curves, four types of padding, shading, numerous surface embroidery stitches and knots. Various threads are used including wools, silks, cottons metallic, beads and sequins. Fabric is Kingston Linen over a foundation, a section will be dyed by instructor prior to class.

Kit Contents: 
Dyed Kingston Linen, Cotton Sateen, Heathway Wools, a variety of Caron Threads, Au Ver A Soie Silk, Bijoux, DMC Cottons, Antique French Metal "Sequins", beads, needles.

Student Provides: a 10" wooden hoop with 7/8" sides. Inside hoop should be wrapped in white bias tape (example Hardwicke Manor hoop). Scissors, Lighting, Magnification.

Whitework Delight Band Sampler

This 6-1/2” by 17” band sampler is stitched on 32-count sandstone linen using two weights of creamy silk thread. It incorporates raised stitches, pulled thread stitches, and pattern darning to create a lovely, fun to stitch, textured piece.

Stitches used include Four-sided, Fly, Spiral Trellis, Satin, Diagonal Satin, Faggot, Stem, Smyrna Cross, Diamond Eyelet, Long-Arm Cross, Double Running, Buttonhole Bars, Double Leviathan, Petit Point, and six pulled thread patterns.

Kit Contents: 
32-count linen fabric cut approximately 11” x 23”, practice fabric and threads, needles, instructions, charts, and photos, silks.

Student Provides: May bring scroll bars to accommodate fabric cut 11" x 23". Extra cordless lighting and/or magnification. Usual sewing supplies
